Good News

I am so happy to be able to share the progress that we've seen in Uganda over the last month since I last posted. This blog entry is filled with good news.

Robert and the family have moved into the new house! It is a huge upgrade from their previous living arrangements. It is a much safer environment for the children. They have running water, electricity, and so much more space! We needed $1800 to make this happen. It seemed nearly impossible in such a short time but God used his people to accomplish his work. I will never forget that day.

God is faithful.

As many of you know, we are going to begin selling our bags and tablet covers online in just a week on Monday, August 4th! This is a big event for us. Up until now, we have been selling the bags at The District Coffee House in Boise, ID and The Maple Street Bistro in Spokane, WA, both of which are the best spots for a cup of coffee in their respective cities (in my honest opinion). The income from the bags we've sold at both spots have been instrumental in the progress we've seen so far in Uganda.

We are now entering the process of creating ways to make our growth sustainable. We can't depend on sales alone to meet the nearly $1,000/mo budget that we have in place. We need businesses and people to buy into the dream. It is already happening.

RUJA has already become much more than just my dream. It is the collective dream of every person who has hoped and prayed with us. If you have bought a bag or donated to pay for school fees then we're in this together.

You are making a difference. Let's keep dreaming.
